"God fulfills his promises." Pregnant woman standing in a field, smiling at her belly.
Who Are You

Expecting God

What are you expecting right now? What promise of God are you carrying in your belly, (im)patiently waiting for the day it will be delivered?

As Mary made her way to Bethlehem, she held within her the greatest promise ever made. She was physically and spiritually heavy with expectation.

I imagine she was also deeply done with being pregnant. Ain’t nobody want to be walking to the fridge at 40 weeks, much less across the country.⁣

But Mary knew that God keeps His word. Sure, there were probably dark times when she doubted, times when she cried in fear and frustration. Yet she kept her eyes on the goal, knowing God does what He says He’ll do and that it was only a matter of time before she saw the light of fulfillment.

Just like expecting a baby, your God-dream also has a due date. Once you’ve started down the path, it’s inevitable that it will be born into the world.⁣

So rejoice with Mary! Get excited about the blessing, the pain, the change, the new level that’s been promised to you. Choose hope over weariness. Deliverance is coming.

“From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me—holy is his name.” [Luke 1:48-49 NIV]

“Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true.” [Joshua 21:45 NLT]⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
