“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. […] To all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” [John 1:9-13 NIV]
This means YOU.
You carry the light inside you.
You gleam in the dark.
You shine like a city on a hill.
You are a lighthouse on a rocky coast.
You reveal the way when others are lost.
Because when Jesus, the Light of the World, lives within you, no amount of darkness—not depression, anxiety, fear, trauma, mistakes, or conflict—can extinguish your shining spirit, can dim the glow that comes from being in God’s family.
As we celebrate the birth of light this season, embrace your own inner light. Let it shine for everyone to see. You never know who’s trying to find their way home.
